Tasmin Little

One of the best known and most accomplished British violinists of today, Tasmin has played with many of the world's greatest orchestras in a career that has spanned every continent of the world. In 2007/08 she joined the London Mozart Players as soloist, director and conductor. In 2008, Tasmin made her fifteenth appearance at the BBC Promenade Concerts.

Her wide-ranging discography includes twenty-three recordings, ranging from Bruch and Brahms to Karlowicz and Arvo Pärt.

Tasmin's "Naked Violin" project received the 2008 Classic FM Gramophone Award for Audience Innovation in September 2008.

A programme of unaccompanied violin works by Bach, Bartók, Paul Patterson, Eugène Ysaÿe and others.

London Bridge Ensemble

The London Bridge Ensemble has rapidly established itself as one of Britain’s most exciting and brilliant chamber groups since making its Wigmore Hall debut in 2005. In April 2008, the Ensemble presented a brand new festival in Winchester , the home town of its cellist, Kate Gould. At our concert, Kate Gould's sister Lucy (violinist of The Gould Piano Trio) joins us for a performance of Brahm's piano quintet and tenor Andrew Staples helps us to celebrate Vaughan Williams' anniversary with a performance of "On Wenlock Edge” Bridge Phantasie Quartet in F minor, Vaughan Williams On Wenlock Edge, Brahms' Piano Quintet in F minor

Sarah has performed at festivals across the UK and plays regularly in France , Germany , Austria , Belgium , Spain , Portugal and Switzerland . Highlights of 2008 included a Wigmore Hall recital and her debut with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. 2009 includes a tour with the City of London Sinfonia , a Wigmore Hall recital in July and a concert in the Cadogan Hall in October. Danny has received awards at the Aspen Music Festival and School, and at the Royal College of Music. He is a founding member of the Linden Trio. Marina Nadiradze, piano

 

Marina, who studied at the State Conservatoire in Tbilisi , Georgia , went on to win her first international award in Vilnius at the age of nine and has since amassed an impressive list of successes including two awards at the Scottish International Piano Competition. Now resident in the UK , her solo career has taken her to France , Austria , Korea and Switzerland . In November 2006, Marina gave her first recital at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester , followed in February 2007 by her debut at the Wigmore Hall, London .

The Barbirolli Quartet

The Barbirolli Quartet is known for its diverse, prolific repertoire, with The Times describing them as “forthright, full-blooded musicians, afraid of nothing” and The Strad commenting on their “ superbly realised performance” with “precision of ensemble at formidable rates of energy”. Over the summer of 2009 The Barbirolli Quartet are giving a series of recitals at the Cheltenham , Lichfield , Buxton and Ryedale festivals.

Simon Crawford-Philips made his BBC Proms debut in 2001. In 2009 Simon will perform twice at BBC Proms.
